Leinster Minor Swim Gala

Eleven members of the KPS Swim Team represented the school yesterday at the Leinster Minor Schools Swimming Gala. It was super to have so many students take part this year as the qualification times for this event are very fast.  They qualified for a total of twenty three individual swimming races and four relay races. There was a huge crowd at the stadium, they all took part with energy and enthusiasm, many coming in the top 4 of their heats.

 

We were very impressed by their stamina, fitness and strength to be able to swim at this very competitive level. Their behaviour poolside was exemplary and they encouraged and supported each other in a lovely, positive manner.

Unfortunately there were no medal winners this year but all eleven swimmers should be very proud of their achievements! We will continue to train and look forward to the next gala!
