KPS SWIM TEAM GALA SUCCESS

The KPS swim team were delighted to be invited to the Willow Park Swimming Gala at the National Aquatic Centre on Wednesday. Seventeen swimmers from KPS raced against swimmers from 9 other Irish schools. The competition was fierce and the standard of swimming was remarkably high. All seventeen swimmers performed exceptionally well. Tavionna managed to come in the top 3, (out of a total of 24) in the U11 girls freestyle race, proudly bringing home a coveted Willow Cup Bronze Medal- well done Tavionna!

Some other fantastic performances included 6th place for Julia in freestyle; 5th and 6th place for Emily in breast and back stroke; 4th place for George in Butterfly, 5th place for Flora in Butterfly and the girls U10 relay team came in 5th place- well done Emily, Chloe, Alice and Flora!

The whole team should be very proud of their performance in the pool and their behaviour poolside when representing Kildare Place School!
