KPS Swim Team Endurance Swim

The KPS Swim team recently completed their sponsored ‘endurance swim’ at Swan Leisure, Rathmines. Seventeen members of the team swam for thirty minutes without any stopping allowed. They varied their strokes and every single swimmer made it to the final whistle! Together they swam a distance of 20.75km which is the equivalent of swimming from KPS to Bray head! Between them all they also raised over €2,500 for two very worthwhile charities- the DSPCA and Barnardos. We are delighted for them for achieving this fantastic result!

 

The entire team then went to Voici, Rathmines this week as a reward for their swim training that they completed throughout the year. Crepes and hot chocolate were a fantastic way to end a year of dedicated swimming!
